Copper Repipes

Galvanized pipes are basically iron pipes coated internally with zinc. Over time the zinc will decay, exposing the raw iron to water. This causes a build-up of rust and corrosion on the inside of the galvanized iron pipes which will continue to get worse over time.

Advantages of Copper Pipes: Copper Pipes are biostatic; this means that copper inhibits bacteria growth, making the water safer to drink. In addition, the inside of the pipes do not have as much mineral buildup as galvanized pipes do. Copper pipes are more resistant to flame than PCV pipes. Copper pipes are also more prone to withstand earthquakes.
